Carotex, Inc. began barge cleaning in 1984 after taking over the old Rainbow Shipyard. Our major focus is cleaning chemical tank barges in the most cost efficient and environmentally safe manner. Cleaning crews from 5 to 6 men work round the clock 7 days per week as needed. Carotex, Inc. maintains all permanent facility permits from EPA, TCEQ, and USCG.

Workers are trained for hazmat, confined space entry and rescue, first aid/cpr, toxicity testing and much more. Through years of experience we have developed proven processes to reduce or eliminate disposal costs. With our onsite permitted water processing plant and time and material billing we can save our customers time and money while keeping environmental risks low.

Most of our workers have over 10 years experience in hot and cold water washes, squeegees, strip and blows as well as steaming of cargo tanks and cargoes. We also have a repair crew for topside repairs, hose, pipe, and vapor testing, and USCG inspections.
