About Us |
Carotex, Inc. began operations in April 1984 under the direction of Clyde Adams. The site was previously Rainbow Shipyard and has always been used as a barge cleaning facility. Carotex no longer operates a drydock but still does topside repairs. Our major focus is barge cleaning and gas freeing. |

Operating 7 days per week 24 hours per day Time and materials basis Cleaning Labor ST $45.00 per man hour Cleaning Labor OT $55.00 per man hour Repairs Labor ST $55.00 per man hour Repairs Labor OT $65.00 per man hour ST 0700 to 2400 Monday thru Friday OT 2400 to 0700 and weekends Holidays are New Years Day, Christmas, Thanksgiving, Labor Day, Easter and July 4th. Man hours includes blowers, high pressure wash system, vacuum system, small tools, hoses and pumps, city water, compressed air, and treatment and disposal of wash water up to 2500 gallons. Steaming: $295.00 per boiler hour Cherry picker and extendable forklift: $150.00 Oxidizer: $200.00 per hour plus propane used Water processing: $.10 to $.25 per gallon depending on analysis Materials cost plus 20% Insurance (10M liability) 2.5% of invoice |
